I needed a stool for my bathroom to sit and do my makeup. This one is perfect for my needs. It can be put flush against a wall when not in use and takes up very little space, works well for my intended purpose, and blends in well with the decor. Keep in mind, though, that the seating area is quite small (14 x. 11) and the cushion is very firm. It probably would not be comfortable for extended sitting, but it's fine for the short periods for which I use it. It's very solid and well made.
