I gave this a five star rating, although I was really thinking of four and a half stars. The item arrived quickly, and in good condition, although one bulb cover was broken, despite the bubble wrap, the company quickly sent a new one to replace it at no cost. The item came with everything needed to install it, other than the screwdriver and a hammer, a level, and a pair of gloves(see below). I had the entire thing installed in about 30 minutes. The front forks that hold on the glazed glass can move a little bit, and I wish they were more sturdy--this is the reason for the half-star I would take off. But it is a minor complaint, and because they can move a little, you can ensure they are straight before putting the glass in. The glass holds them completely in place. The light is emitted by four tiny halogen bulbs (With instructions on the boxes NOT to handle them with your bare hands--have some latex gloves around for installation, or some clean kitchen gloves). These bulbs throw an incredible amount of light, and the frosted glass does an excellent job of ensuing this light reaches every corner of the room, without actually being a blinding light. It has a nice finish, and once it was in place, was quite sturdy. The installation process involved taking off the back cover (held on by four screws, inset, so they do not really show when installed), install the backplate: This requires two screws being screwed into the electrical box, and two optional screws that can be installed in the anchors. I used both sets of screws. Take the main unit, and connect the wires (there are three, white, black, and ground). They provide covers and a ground screw for each. Put the main unit on the backplate, and replace the four screws to hold it in place. (Note: To ensure it is straight, the two screws that go into the electrical box are able to slide around until tightened. Use a level to ensure they are straight, mark where you want to put the anchors, remove the back plate from the wall, and put in the anchors, replace it, and put in all four screws at this point, using the level one last time to make sure it is straight. If you are worried about the screws popping through the backplate, just use a couple of washers on the two screws going into the electrical box). Now, using gloves, take out the four light bulbs and lightly push them into place. They don't screw in, they just push in. Then, screw the four bulb covers on. Carefully take the glass sheet out, and slide it into place on the three forks. And....turn on your light. Done.Simple, quick, and a beautiful and bright light fixture!I was looking for a modern glass + chrome fixture for a master bath remodel. The "Latitude" line from Hinkley fit the bill. I bought the large 6-light bar light and 3 sconces. All the lights are just beautiful! Other reviewers mentioned a "yellow" glow from the bulbs but I don't see that really. You can swap them out for more "white" ones I guess. (NOTE: These are not standard light bulb size; they are a special halogen-type, tiny bulb so I suggest you wait until you get your fixture to replace them to ensure you get the right size.)I did have an issue with a small frosted glass shade that arrived broken; (it goes over each tiny halogen bulb and can be seen within the fixture) it's called a "lamp thread bulb shield". When I called Hinkley (they're in Ohio) they immediately sent me out a replacement part, no questions asked and were very nice/professional about it. Excellent customer service!I had an electrician install them and he said they were easy. You do want to be careful with all the parts -- there are loose (but well-packaged) glass panels and other parts. I suggest you inventory everything upon receipt and contact Hinkley if anything is damaged or broken.Would definitely buy these again! Highly recommend.Probably should have been one star, but this is a very attractive design, which deserves some credit. My unit had two major problems: (1) one of the four screw-on glass bulb covers cracked and fell to the floor within a minute of turning on the power. It appears that the heat from the halogen bulb was too much for such a small enclosed space. For safety reasons, I immediately turned it off to prevent further damage. I thought about using the light without the bulb covers, but it didn't look right. This is a very poor design to place an extremely hot halogen bulb inside such a small glass cover. (2) The decorative glass cover was too thick for two of the three metal supports. These metal supports were very poorly manufactured. There was no way to insert the glass without scratching it. I measured the glass which was exactly 3/8". One of the metal supports was less then 1/4" at the top. Another was 5/16" and the third was larger than 3/8". Again, very poor quality manufacturing for such a premium-priced light fixture. I returned the light to Amazon. I thought about trying a replacement, but ultimately decided that the heat issue with the halogen bulbs and the small glass covers was not worth the safety risk. Too bad... because it really is a very attractive modern light fixture. I saw that there is a new version with integrated LEDs. But the price is crazy high and the LED color does not match our other lights in this bath. The wiring had clearly been used before, so this turned out not to be a new item. The glass was flawed, which is probably why it was returned before. And it just doesn't look as sophisticated in person as it does in the product shots.I ordered and installed 2 of these vanity light bars and am very pleased. They are good looking and well made. They install easily and are a great upgrade over the builder's grade fixtures they replaced. They come with halogen light bulbs (g9) and glass covers. They are bright - and hot - as they come (6x60=360watts per fixture, 720watts for the bathroom). The light is great - the heat is not. So I ordered and replaced them with equivalent LED bulbs that provide the same light output for a total of 72Watts and a lot less heat! The modified approach (substituting LED for Halogen) requires that the safety covers can't be re-installed (they may go on with smaller LED inserts). Overall I'm very pleased after several weeks with the new lights.I purchased this fixture from Amazon.ca on April 10,2015. Our bathroom renovation was delayed until June. When we installed the fixture I noticed a blemish in the beveled glass. I contacted the Hinkley company by e-mail to purchase a replacement glass as I was passed the 30 day warranty . I was contacted back first thing next day by a Brandi in customer care asking for a picture of the blemish. Within literally minutes after sending her a picture, she e-mailed me back to say that a replacement was in the mail at no cost to me.Received new glass in 6 days.Top customer service like this is few and far between these days. The fixture looks wonderful. Very modern. I would certainly recommend Hinkley products to anyone buying lighting fixtures.Bathroom lighting. We already have two versions of this fixture in other bathrooms. They look really classy. As showed in store. The only down side was that one of the light cover was cracked when I opened the box.
